DA MEN MALL SET A NEW ENTRY IN THE MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS

Da Men Mall clinched as The Most Seasonal Drum in a Chinese New Year Theme Decoration record and set a new entry in the Malaysia Book of Records with a magnificent display of 308 oriental drums in conjunction with the mall’s Chinese New Year campaign entitled Beats of Prosperity.

The honorary certificate was presented to the Adviser of Da Men Mall, Datuk Abdul Wahab Khalil by Malaysia Book of Records representative, Mr Edwin Yeoh at a ceremony that was witnessed by more than 1,000 guests on 15 January 2023.

The ceremony was attended by Yang Berusaha Dr Tan Awang Besar, Policy Division (Culture) of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia; Yang Berhormat Tuan Ng Sze Han, EXCO Selangor for local Government and Public Transport; Yang Berhormat Tuan Wong Chen, Member of Parliament Subang Jaya; founder and managing director of VR Drumming Academy, Master Lee Cheng Wai and Adviser of Da Men Mall, Datuk Abdul Wahab Bin Khalil who thanked the stakeholders for their continuous support for the thriveability of the property.

The event was a collaborative effort between Da Men Mall and VR Drumming Academy who supplied the drums for the feat, and performances like lion dance and 24 Festive Drumming shows throughout the mall’s festive campaign.

The founder, Master Lee, in his speech highlighted the importance of spreading cheer to the less fortunate and called upon corporate sectors to support a charity dinner entitled Flourish of Hundred Drums.

Guests were then treated to a spectacular drumming performance specially choreographed to commemorate Da Men Mall’s historic event involving more than 200 multi-ethnic participants with ages ranging from 5 to 64 years old.
