30 underprivileged students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Hang Tuah 1 are taken to the National Museum of Malaysia for a tour with the aim to help the younger generations understand the true meaning of independence and the sacrifices involved in the formation of Malaysia.
Giant has been present in Malaysia for more than 75 years. Regardless of age, race, religion, and social standing, the love for the Giant brand is fondly engraved in the hearts of many Malaysians since childhood.
As one of the oldest retail chains in Malaysia, Giant plays an important role in raising awareness of the importance of unity and instilling an appreciation for the struggle of our nation’s forefathers for independence in the younger generation.
This initiative is aligned with Giant’s mission to contribute to the development of the nation by inspiring Malaysian children with the spirit of patriotism and impressing a sense of national pride in the hearts of the children.
The students were able to witness the extensive collection of artifacts, crafts, and historical monuments being displayed in the museum that portrays Malaysia’s major historical events and cultural activities. It is great to see the children taking pride in the rich history, diversity, and culture of our beloved nation.
In conjunction with this year’s Malaysia Day celebration, Giant Malaysia continues providing bigger variety and greater value to the nation with the selected second item at 50 percent off promotion, happening until 18 September 2019 at all Giant stores throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
