SHOPEE Wraps Up 12.12 With Over 12 million orders

Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, wraps up a record-breaking year with its highly successful Shopee 12.12 Birthday Sale.

On 12 December, Shopee saw over 12 million orders across the region, surpassing all past records including the recent Shopee 11.11 Big Sale.

Supported by more than 450,000 brands and merchants, Shopee recorded 48 million visits as users shopped 60 million deals across all categories. Shopee’s in-app games were also highly popular like the Shopee Shake which was played 46 million times throughout the campaign.

In Malaysia, Health and Beauty, Home and Living, and Baby and Toys were the top three most popular categories. Leading brands, including Watsons, Nestle, Pet Pet, Realme and Petronas emerged as favourites amongst users.

The newly revamped 11,073 square feet space spots a modern interior design and display area in black, white and red motifs, to appeal to todays sports and lifestyle consumers. This upgrade also comes as an effort to stay ahead of the increased number of emerging international competitors in the market.

White walls and bright light panels open up the space, creating a perfect contrast with the red and black display areas, giving customers an environment similar to a professional team locker room at each section. The layout of the store is designed with the customer in mind, providing an easy and targeted shopping experience covering the pillars of running, training, football, swim, lifestyle and more caters to today’s always active and on the move consumer.

Without sacrificing visibility, each section is designed to fall within the customers path from entry to exit while the center, is an events space which is expected to host various in store activities covering the key pillars in the coming months.

Acting as a sports and lifestyle hub, the store will offer a vast product selection from over 30 international brands including, Nike, Adidas, Vans, Champion, Reebok, Under Armour and more across various disciplines and styles.

A key highlight of the store is a shoe engraving machine, which offers the customer a chance to add a personal and unique touch to their shoes. Royal Sporting House also has plans for services like gait analysis and in-house specialists for consulting in the near future.

#MYCYBERSALE 2018 online sale event has become a catalyst for merchants in Malaysia to be part of the e-Commerce ecosystem and contribute to the domestic and export e-Commerce revenue.

In 2017, #MYCYBERSALE attracted 1,007 merchants generating RM311 million in GMV, with RM39 million in export revenue.

Desaru Coast Will Hosts the World’s First Duathlon at the International Extreme Sports Event

 

XTERRA Malaysia Special Edition 2018, the world’s premier series of off-road extreme multisport competitions announces the world’s first duathlon in Malaysia, thanks to Desaru Coast who will play host to this Special Edition.

The Special Edition format has TWO categories:

  1. duathlon
  2. trail running

For the first time in the world, this one-of-a-kind competition organized by Tough Gorilla, will make its debut in Malaysia.

XTERRA Malaysia Special Edition 2018 provides extreme sports athletes from across the region and Malaysia, a chance to compete in the stunning scenic landscape of Desaru Coast.

The event will also carry out workshops by professional athletes and certified coaches. For athletes traveling with their families, the Special Edition offers a shorter 5km route for a lighter challenge off-road.
